We only provide enterprise level hardware. This means dual Xeon IBM xSeries servers with hotswappable 10K RPM, SCSI hard drives. Hard drives are mirrored in several RAID configurations.
Normally, your server will be up and running within 24 hours after signing up. You can choose your configuration and signup for service on the
products page.
You are given full control over the choices you have with the security of your system. As an IT professional, you should know how to install and configure software firewalls such as ISA and SELinux. If you require a seperate hardware based firewall, we can install one for you which you can maintain. See the
products page for options.
The IBM xSeries servers have dual power outlets connected to seperate UPS backups in each rack. In addition, diesel generators provide power during extended outages caused by natural disasters.
The datacenter boasts dual connections with two Tier 1 providers to provide failover redundancy if either one should fail. Also, redundancy from our core routers to the dual NIC card in your server is maintained in the event of a switch or cable failure.
The IBM xSeries servers come with an RSA II Supervisory Adaptor on a seperate public IP address. This gives you full control over your server through an easy to use browser-based interface. You can completely shutdown your server, restart it and install software from your own remote cd drive.
The base package we offer gives you 5 public ip addresses. You may configure these any way you wish, however the RSA II adaptor requires one of these addresses for itself. Additional IPs are available with pricing on the
products page.
